Simply complete our application for health insurance and send it to us along with your payment. Within 48 hours of receipt, one of our Underwriters will inform you if your application has been accepted, or if additional information is required to continue the evaluation. Please make sure to answer all questions thoroughly.
Residents of Latin America and the Caribbean are eligible for coverage regardless of citizenship. If you are 74 years of age or under, you can apply for coverage. Once your application is approved, there is no age limit for renewing your policy.
A child born under a covered maternity can automatically be added to the parents’ policy, regardless of health conditions. This includes congenital and hereditary disorders.
Coverage for dependent children is available until age 19 or 24* under the parents’ policy, while paying dependent rates. This means you can continue paying our dependent rates for all your children from birth until the age of 19 or 24*. Once the dependent child reaches age 19 or 24*, he or she can continue to be insured under his or her own policy with no interruption of coverage.
Dependent coverage is available up to age 24, if single and a full- time student.
As a Bupa insured, you and each covered member of your family will receive a Bupa identification card. This card is your access to the best medical coverage anywhere in the world.
In case of an emergency or to submit a claim, your benefits begin with a simple phone call to one of our doctors at USA Medical Services, who are ready to assist you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
You and your family will be covered for accidents and infectious illnesses for the first 60 days following the effective date of your policy. However, if you have previous health insurance coverage, Bupa will waive the 60-day waiting period. Simply attach to your application a copy of your previous insurance policy and proof of payment for the last 12 months. Maternity coverage begins 10 months after the effective date of your policy.
